Lemurs couldn’t complete the three-game sweep of the Kansas City T-Bones as they gave up a one-run lead in the 9th inning and went on to lose 2-1. Jeff Inman allowed 2-runs and 2-hits in the inning and the Lemurs couldn’t answer after getting Denis Phipps on with one out in the 9th.
In a game that started an hour and 22 minutes late due to rain, it was a pitchers duel the entire way. Ryan Beckman had a perfect game going to the sixth inning but it was broken up by on Brett Wiley single. Beckman pitched 8 shutout innings, allowing 2 hits and striking out 5. On the other hand, Jordan Cooper of the T-Bones went pitch for pitch with Beckman, allowing 1 run in 8 innings, striking out 3 and allowing 7 hits.
The lone Lemurs run came on J.D Pulfer reached based on a throwing error and Alvaro Rondon score. London led off the inning with a double.
